This is Angie Star Jewelry's newest store described as a bead boutique and it's worth checking out. It's gorgeous (what else would we expect right?) and unlike their store downtown that showcases totally amazing handmade jewelry, this store is stocked full of findings, beads, gemstones and metal so that you can create your own amazing handmade jewelry. They offer an array of classes and workshops as well to teach you what you need to know to do just that.
Angie is having a grand opening extravaganza for North Star and I've been invited to do a trunk show during the celebration! I'm also doing a teaching demonstration which should be very fun for all of us... Common Threads

Another cool show! This one is november 1 from 12-4 at 2707 Spruce St at Common Threads and features the work of some very cool local artisans including myself and my good friend Shannon Sunderland of Hot Mama Designs. Common Threads, a relatively new store here in Boulder has an amazing concept not to mention a lovely, light and airy space. Common Threads is successfully merging high end consignment with a creative lab, offering classes like belt making, knitting and silk screening. The best part is that they employ young men and women from AIM House, whose mission it is to help individuals discover how capable, resilient and resourceful they truly are. I hope to see you all at the show on November 1. Come see me and check this great store out.

Milwaukee Fashion Week

Milwaukee Fashion Week launches this friday october 3. This is especially interesting to me because I sent 450 mini gift certificates to be given away in the goody bags for VIP's. I also donated a pretty Fairy Ring Necklace for their silent auction whose proceeds will benefit Thembalethu Children's Home in Kwazulu-Natal district, Harding, South Africa through the Hummingbird Project . This is a really neat foundation and I'm excited to be able to contribute a little something to it. Now if only I could go to see all of the cool things going on at MFW...

Shes gorgeous and pregnant! Pregnant and gorgeous! This is Michele and she's having a baby in december. I Just landed an "Editors Picks" slot at Smashing Darling and I based my picks on things from shops at Smashing that I thought every pregnant woman should have. Take a peek and see what I chose! I also had a few more favorites from the cool stores at Smashing that didn't match my color scheme but I wanted to share them anyway...


Speaking from experience, I know that the bigger that tum gets, the easier it is to feel ungainly, and scarves are good for creating a visual distraction (and keeping you warm of course!) so these scarves from Thistle Downs Wool Designs are both beautiful and functional.
