Good-bad-Divine

Brandy Shaloo writes a very cutting edge blog at Good-Bad-Divine.blogspot and it really is all three of those (bad as in bad-ass of course). I just love the black background and skull icons, and the way she groups lots of thumbnail pictures together just make you want to keep looking. She has a great sense of fashion and art and her writings reflect that. She is in Germany and it's cool how some of the words are in German and some in English...very intriguing and oh so international!

Brandy was kind enough to write about my Luscious Metals the other week and I just wanted to share. Thanks a million Brandy!!

The Good and The Bag

Blogs and websites are so interesting to me...I love how some scream high fashion, some are edgy, some are pretty or funky or sweet. They remind me of bedrooms. I always envision each site to be a general representation of it's creators' bedroom. Am I just strange? Oh well, at any rate, Dana at Thegoodandthebag.com must have a lovely, elegant and very sophisticated bedroom, because that is exactly how it feels over at her website. She "loves the charming things in life" and frankly, that says it all. She chooses some of the most delectable stuff to feature in tons of categories (niceties, books, jewelry etc.) It's a great place to find gifts for people that you may otherwise never have found. She featured my Sweetheart Necklace (that necklace has been hard at work these past few months) Thank you Dana!!

Style Eyes Interview

Ceri Heathcote has a lovely little corner of the web called Style Eyes Fashion Blog. It's filled with all sorts of musings on fashion, jewelry, sustainable style and more. There are lots of pretty pictures to look at too, which is one of my favorite reasons for reading blogs of course. She is all the way over in the UK and I always find it fascinating to hear the points of view of women from all over the world. I'm flattered that she likes my jewels too! She also works with designerhighstreet.com, "the ultimate guide for ladies with style". Ceri interviewed me, check it out, it was so much fun! Thanks Ceri~

Parenting Magazine and Sweetheart Necklace Contest

My Sweetheart Necklace got featured in Parenting Magazine- I'm such a proud parent! The article was about cool jewelry for Moms and well, I guess I'm officially cool...or at least the necklace is cool right? One of my favorite girlfriends, Shannon Sunderland of Hot Mama Designs also got a great mention for her cool custom jewelry- yeah!

Parenting magazine is hosting "31 days of Mothers Day Giveaways" and you can log onto parenting.com/giveawayaday for the chance to win one of 31 great prizes. You can win a Sweetheart Necklace on May 31.

In honor of Mothers Day (and to celebrate my little Sweetheart Necklaces' big accomplishment) I will also be having a contest on the blog. Leave a comment telling me your favorite thing about your dear Mama and be entered to win a SHN of your very own, with your very own custom names and dates...how exciting! The contest will run from today through May 31. Don't forget to leave your email address on the comment please. Good Luck!

Ahhh, Resin

I'm teaching another resin class! the first one was fabulous and I'm sure this one will be as well... This one will be at Common Threads Boutique in Boulder. This store is so great, I mean where else in Boulder can you buy a Mark Jacobs bag at half price (even if half price is still $400...) pick up an amazing piece of local jewelry and learn some cool new skill? All on the same day if you want. They have lots of fun things to learn including belt making, sewing, fashion recycling, millinery and of course, jewelry making.

Resin class is scheduled for Saturday April 24 from 2-5. We will learn all about resin and how to make things like photo charms, interesting pendants, magnets and more. Really, as long as it's dry, you can capture it in resin forever and ever...So fun! Call Common Threads ((303) 449-5431) to register and do it soon because space is limited.

Another sneak peek

Breathless...
This collection gives me the shivers...I love it that much. I have the most amazing vintage Austrian crystals that I am using in this collection. There are chunky cocktail rings that are adjustable and include words like " secrets" and "bewitched". There are 8 sided stars and heavy link chains, lush textures and tiny flush set stones. Sexy, edgy and absolutely saturated with color. I CANNOT wait to launch this collection. The pieces are limited edition, meaning get what you love right away... I'm telling you, these pieces are already going quickly. The first two pieces I showed sold immediately. Love it when that happens.
